Create an identity that could communicate a sensitive subject in a way that felt professional without becoming clinical, and approachable without losing credibility.
Rather than treating mental health through an overly serious or institutional lens, the identity uses colour and symbolism to make the conversation feel more human and engaging while maintaining a structured, professional foundation.
Mental health branding can easily become either too clinical and impersonal or overly soft and informal. The challenge was finding a visual balance that could communicate trust, sensitivity and expertise while remaining accessible to a broad audience.
The semicolon — a widely recognised symbol within mental health advocacy — was reimagined as the central brand device. Colourful variations represent the organisation's four core values, creating a flexible visual system that adapts across different touchpoints.
